That's what others experienced
A semester abroad, two kids and tons of fun!
Hello to all cosmopolitan students and families out there :) !
I am studying to become a teacher and spent six months at the University in San Sebastian to study there.
I had my own, small apartment in the center of the town – beautiful city in the north of Spain right by the ocean! Two afternoons each week I baby-sat Manuel and Ines, two very sweet and small Spanish children who were visiting the German School. I used to pick them up after classes and go to a nearby park with them where lot’s of Spanish kids were having fun after school. I also got to improve my Spanish skills and communicate a lot with other people while being there. I loved these afternoons. After that, we went home to complete the kid’s homework – in German of course. The best part were the dinners we used to have all together with the whole family. We communicated in Spanish and German and had lot’s of fun together! They also told me about the „hottest spots“ in town and „must-see“ sights I had to visit before leaving.
My whole semester abroad was definitely one of the best experiences I ever had. The family and the kids in particular made it perfect. Hope to see you again very soon!
